New type firearm certificate question.
I have just received my firearm certificate back it went in for variation. The certificate states the maximum amount of ammunition I can hold for each calibre but it does not say how much I am allowed to purchase. It does not have a section like the old one did for amounts you are authorised to purchase is this correct.

I believe that is now correct.

Re: New type firearm certificate question.
As far as I'm aware there is no limit to how much you can buy as long as you don't exceed your hold limit.
Re: New type firearm certificate question.
Interesting wonder why they did that suppose it puts the onus on us to stay within our limit. All though its recorded on your certificate any way when you purchase. I thought it might be something to do with the fact that you reloaded.
Not to worry.

So will RFDs still enforce the old "purchase limit" on old-style FACs until they are renewed/replaced, or ignore it?

I'm wondering , does this mean a group of mates can club together and bulk buy then split the purchase so as to save cost ?

We have to follow the conditions on each FAC, and if you still have the old one; yes we still have to follow the 'limit to purchase'. However, there is no time limit between purchases, just don't try to buy over your limit.DavidRees wrote:So will RFDs still enforce the old "purchase limit" on old-style FACs until they are renewed/replaced, or ignore it?
