I guess not, no. My on-the-shelf-in-a-shop price isn't *that* much less than your special-arrangement-group-buy-via-friendly-RFD price. Apples with pears? The biggest savings seem to be primers and projectiles, which have been 30% to 40% less over the last 12 months for certain types.
I've bought 10k large rifle and about 5k each of large pistol and small rifle primers over the last 3 months or so, all £30/1000. I'm hopefully going over to Amsterdam in January to visit my son, if possible I'm hoping to get down to Bold Action in Zwijndrecht, his primer prices are very good €20 to €22 x 1000 for Gynex.
There's room for all Gods creatures, next to the mash and gravy :)

May one ask whereabouts in Belgium (and perhaps which shop) offers these supplies, and what the rules are for buying them in Belgium? I go across to Coppens in Knokke-Heist now and then; might be worth visiting the shop you frequent, if only to browse...

Remember, if you travel by Eurostar on a train through the channel tunnel you can't carry any explosives or inflammables (bar the fuel in your car tank of course). Likewise air. The only way you can carry propellants back from Belgium would be if you travel by ferry. Other modes don't just involve breaking safety regs and confiscation, but would likely involve criminal charges if you're found out!

Ferry is the way I get to and from Belgium, via Calais.
Indeed, Newcastle to Amsterdam with DFDS, I may well be building his partner a gaming PC, I'll need to take it over with me so a decent luggage allowance is a must

As far as I am aware You cannot carry powder or primers on the ferries. They are classed as hazardous cargo and there are lots of maritime restrictions on carrying them. If you do intend to try and carry them I suggest that you contact the ferry company and ask for their advice.

There's at least one importer I know of who brings large quantities of powders plus primers into the UK this way. The van goes out empty on Eurostar and returns by sea-ferry. Many haulage companies use ferries all the time too for hazardous goods as the Chunnel freight vehicle trains are unavailable to them - if they can't use ferries, how do you think such goods travel between us in an island and the continent? Restricting such goods to oceangoing container carriers would cripple large sections of British industry. I see HGVs with both GB and foreign registration plates displaying hazard information boards for a variety of dangerous products en route to and from Hull docks on a daily basis - in fact every time I travel on the M62 I see foreign registered lorries with hazard boards on them.

Yes and he has all the paperwork and has jumped through all of the hurdles so that he can. The average 'Joe trying to do this will also need to get all the correct paperwork or if caught without could be facing a very large fine/confiscation of vehicle or a custodial sentence. Just buying several kilos of powder/primers and 'innocently trying to import them in the boot of the car could lead to a whole lot of trouble if caught. As I said in my earlier post you will need to check with the ferry company as to what you can carry.
