flash hiders......controlled part?
Are removeable flash hiders a controlled part under section 1?, in the same way as moderaters are.Talking about actual flash hiders not muzzle brakes.

Re: flash hiders......controlled part?
One of mine has a proof mark stamped on it, dunno if that makes my particular one 'controlled'!
Re: flash hiders......controlled part?
I think Ovenpaa might be wrong there?
You are asking about flash hinders not muzzle breaks.
I don't have the time to check the wording at this time, I am sure several others will put me right, but I think the act mentions flash hinders in with moderators.

Re: flash hiders......controlled part?
DM, as fas as I know they are not listed or controlled, same as a muzzle brake.
Re: flash hiders......controlled part?
What ovenpaa says. They aren't listed or controlled parts.
Re: flash hiders......controlled part?
(c)any accessory to any such weapon designed or adapted to diminish the noise or flash caused by firing the weapon;
Re: flash hiders......controlled part?
The word "diminish" is the operative word here, muzzle brakes & flash hiders do not actually diminish the flash or the noise, they merely redirect it.
The flash hider sends the flash in an outward radial direction, giving the impression of hiding the flash. But in fact do not hide it at all.
