Litz - Accuracy and Precision for Long Range Shooting

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

Has anyone read the Litz book Accuracy and Precision for Long Range Shooting? I am thinking of getting a copy for myself. I already have the Applied Ballistics For Long Range Shooting and wondered if this was a worthwhile addition.

I was expecting it for Christmas last year but ended up with something else so this year I will make sure and order it myself. I am just curious to know if it is a worthwhile addition to his other books.

It's on my Christmas list too, but looking at his past works, it should be good.

I have it but its a VERY heavy read compared to the first book and only adds a LOT of data regarding specific calibres performance with specific loads etc.....it might suit some that want to dig WAY deeper into hit certainties etc but for me its not 'educational'.

So more of an advanced read then?

Not even that really......its a statisticians wet-dream tome. Just my opinion but you really want a pre-read before you buy if possible to see if it will give you anything that the first book didn't. (Unlikely)

Dave, what does it cover? My interests are going to be 6,5x47 and .308 as much as anything with the 6,5-284 following a close third as I doubt it will be looking at exotica such as the 22-6,5x47
