Not that I am aware of, I don't see any issue why one couldn't be developed but the manufacturer would have to be persuaded that it is financially worth while.
Re: Straight pull Galil ????
Its an interesting idea and certainly no legal issues( I would sign up for one), the issue as ever for Business, is procuring the receiver/bolt kits in a viable quantity, but being faced with the issue of only selling a relative handful of complete rifles.
Unfortunately, us SP milsurp enthusiasts are a very small group among a relatively small UK shooting scene.
We need more people getting on board in this niche area, thank god people like Neal Parnem from Suffolk rifles have kept the faith, with his wonderful L1A1 rebuilds, new build M14's and the possibility of Garands in the future!

Oh sign me up for a Garand!
Am I right in thinking the way the bolt works on a Garand/M14 makes them particularly suited for straight pull.

PING
The above post probably contains sarcasm or some other form of attempted wit, please don't take it to heart.
Re: Straight pull Galil ????
I have a friend who is mad on Garands in any form, he's got deacts and one that has the original barrel but has been bored out to .410. You can still see the gas port hole looking down the barrel. Only works as a straight pull though!Fedaykin wrote:Oh sign me up for a Garand!

He would definitely buy one.

Im sure I heard somewhere that primary extraction would be a problem with a straight pull Garand, I could be wrong.Fedaykin wrote:Oh sign me up for a Garand!

Re: Straight pull Galil ????
I don't see why it should be any different to my M14, which is a breeze.
Re: Straight pull Galil ????
Given the common heritage of the Galil & the AK series...maybe the easier option would be to add as many Galil parts as possible to an already straight pull AK?
