An easy and straight forward way to increase your .22lr limit, is to attach details of batch testing at Eley, enclose copy of Eley web page where it states minimum purchase is 5000 of your selected batch. Justified "good reason" job done. Just minor problem of coming up with the cash for 5000 tenex, so in meantime you're using ammo of choice.
Re: Slots on your first ticket
I applied for 8 rifles (7.62x51 (x2), .223, .303, .22 (x2), .45ACP (x2)) and got 6. My application was described as a shopping list when the FEO came to visit, so I knew I had a battle on my hands. I didn't have to, but I was encouraged to reduce it a bit, so I dropped both .45 ACP slots. I did however get 4 moderators and my ammo count without any problems.

Re: Slots on your first ticket
There's nowhere on the form to justify why you want the amount of ammo you ask for, I suppose it's up to the flo/feo etcartiglio wrote:An easy and straight forward way to increase your .22lr limit, is to attach details of batch testing at Eley, enclose copy of Eley web page where it states minimum purchase is 5000 of your selected batch. I filled on the poll as asked: I started with just one rifle, but it was in 1961----

ACPO apparently say bulk buying is not a good enough reason to up your holding however it has worked for me. Last slot the Viking applied for was 25/25 which made me smile
Re: Slots on your first ticket
Met Police area same as first post.
Asked for 6 and 2 mods. Even though FEO was happy was told wouldn't be approved unless I reduced it to 4 plus 2 mods as first application. Ammunition at 500/600 .22 250/300 centre fire. Will be putting in variation for more shortly will see what they say.

Well my FLO has been and was happy with my explanation as to why I required my eight rifles :shakeshout:, he was also happy with my storage capacity (all be it will be maxed out) he did note the Full Bore rifles as Bolt Action, but as previously discussed elsewhere on the forum that should not be an issue when buying a straight pull.
So I'll have to wait a bit longer until I see if he comes good when my cert comes back, hopefully later this week.

Congratulations, I hope the next part is quick for you. Yes straight pull or bolt action doesn't matter.

Ditto above but last year. They even added an extra .22lr mod!Blackstuff wrote:I got what i asked for and that was 8 'slots'. The only thing i got knocked back on was .22lr ammo allowances, i asked for 1000/1200 but got the standard 500/600. (that was 8 years ago though)
