Same here. I'm all for doing anything with guns as long as it's safe and legal. Even if that means using an old fashioned boring wooden stock ;)

Same was said by shooters when they took my full bore semi rifles off me. Much the same was said when they came for my pistols....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Well they don't do anything for me either, I'm no firearm fashionista.

That said I would do my damndest to ensure that those who wanted to shoot such things could.

When it comes to firearm ownership a threat to one is a threat to us all.

As Simon has pointed out it is the "my gun is better than your gun" thinking that weakened us when the gun bans came in and unfortunately that thinking is still prevalent amongst some shooters, history is a great teacher which we ignore at our peril.

Government has never legislated or restricted shooting on the basis of the disciplines shot it has always been on the type of gun we can own. That is what we need to recognise, accept and defend collectively.

All of us who aspire to shoot, whatever the discipline, or the type, colour, material of gun, need to be able to own that forearm in the first instance, gun ownership is the commonality that ties all shooters together under the law. To refuse to see and acknowledge that is a self imposed blindness that will lead to us all loosing our shooting when the next assault on private gun ownership comes.

Not mine, Jeff's blown up Southern Gun Company gun. It is in store for him 'till he decides what he wants doing with it.

It just sits there as a reminder as to why plastic isn't a good material to make guns from. ;)
