They describe this as a carpenters toolbox, I am not so sure... GBP20.00 so far and 4 hours to go.

Definitely an R.E. trades toolbox if it is described as a carpenters tool box then I'm sure that is what will be stencilled on the lid.

Its definitely not a Lee Enfield sniper rifle transit case . Too big for a tool box , funnily enough I have just bought home my Grandfathers RN box [ WWI era ] which is half full of old spanners and stuff and its a struggle to even lift it , but a good size to lift , so a box like that with tools in would never be moved .

Yep, sappers needed to separate sandwiches, hammers and beer...

Ever noticed how they are all either drunk, hungry and with two front teeth missing...? :o
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

definitely a chippies box it has remnant's of the C.E.S. label in the lid. and the seller mentions it, the blocks on the end would have had sisal rope handles.
yes Sim separate compartments for each the bigger one for beer, it should carry 24 pint cans of Stella, mine will be empty when I'm down doing your kitchen ;) ;) full as I start work and empty by the end of the day, then next day (you see where this is going  :goodjob: :55:)
