Safe storage for ammo
I'm moving house soon. The place I'm moving to (rented flat) is a bit basic in terms of home security and probably won't get approved for a full gun cabinet. However, I'm mulling the idea of taking up handloading. Are the security requirements to install an ammo safe only any different from those needed for a proper gun cabinet?

Don't think it's any different, if you get the security OK for the firearms then the ammo approval comes with it, albeit in a separate box/compartment than the firearms.
In this case the firearm security isn't being discussed or looked at so I'd ask the FEO (I assume you're keeping the FAC address as it is).
You never know you may be able to get your whole FAC moved for little in the way of security updates.
