That's what makes reloading (and ammunition/ballistics in general) such a fascinating subject oh humbug like one.meles meles wrote:So many questions...
What gets me is the tiny things that make huge differences (both in terms of performance and safety).
It is probably too late for me now, but although I studied gunnery science (very limited it has to be said) in the mob, I would love to study ballistics.
I am also basically lazy and don't like changing anything that is not essential (or requires too much monitoring) or is unlikely to achieve much.
Which is why I wonder about the shift of brass on a case where it has been neck turned....how long will it stay concentric?
