Sendit,

It started life as a Remington 700 SPS Varmint from Mike Evans at Sportsman Guncentre, Newport.

Tossed stock into loft and fitted H S Precision PST 025.

Replaced shoite trigger with Jewell and converted to H S Precision 10 round mags with base plate conversion. Fitted F G Force rail and Leupold PRW rings from...

http://www.brownells.com

and a Nikon Monarch 3 8-32X50 BDC scope from....

http://www.theopticzone.com/category/36341/1/nikon.htm

finished off with a Flat Black Accu Shot Monopod, Harris Bipod swivel with podloc and a T8 moderator.

Cost me about £2400 when $:£ was favourable.

Any resemblance to a M24 A2 is purely co-incidental!

HTH

Rob

Sendit,

Rimfire Magic's gunsmith is Dave Wylde and Dave is about to go solo with his new company Valkyrie Rifles.

Dave builds some nice rifles that also shoot and it would be well worth talking to him. He is also a DuraCoat specialist so you can have your rifle look like the one in Rob's pic at the same time.

No connection with the company but I shoot with Dave regularly.

Cheers
Vince

Ahhh, wouldn't be a post about a Remy without a pic of Rob's bang stick

Sendit, whilst I don't want to do SYSS/RM a dis-service as they are a first class operation and they currently have my RM 10/22, they do seem to be winding down at present and concentrating on the Marlins and RM 10/22 side of things.

Before you make any decision, also have a word with Dave Wylde of Valkyrie Rifles http://www.valkyrierifles.net/ Dave is on this forum "baldie" and a competitive shooter. He worked at SYSS until January and has branched out on his own and now has his own dedicated action which I guess is the same as the SYSS one. However, the difference is Dave shoots what he builds and is a top bloke, more than happy to chat through your build spec if he know's you are coming.

As Valkyrie and SYSS are on the same farm, make an afternoon of it and go and see them both and see who can offer you what you want, then decide!
