Re: Not happy !!
thanks for the advice folks ... incase of the worst coming to the worst I have a friend living locally who I can transfer my shotgun to ...
If they do decide to revoke my SGC I'm prepared to take any medical they like ...
Sim G .. if the want a letter from the wife she is more than happy to provide on (she's a probation officer !)
this all seems like a massive over reaction considering I saw the doctor 3 months ago !!

Good job you weren't in a hurry to do something stupid.zzr1100 wrote: this all seems like a massive over reaction considering I saw the doctor 3 months ago !!

I think you're probably worrying unduly, if you tell the FEO what you've told us I cannot see any problem. Also I guess this is more of a 'let's just check' visit as if they were really concerned by the report from your Dr I would've thought they'd have been round a lot sooner.
Good luck, and my fingers are crossed for you.

Re: Not happy !!
Hi ZZ
I think if I was you I would consider putting my firearms elsewhere now. If the FEO turns up with instructions from his boss that he is to revoke your SGC he will come mob-handed and will want to seize the guns there and then, and it will be too late. If you transfer them to another SGC holder or RFD who has the space (get a receipt), then they are out of the hands of the police whatever happens. The police having physical possession of your guns is one of the biggest bars to dealing with whatever else they may want to throw at you. Remember shotguns can be transferred and transferred back again near enough anytime.

Re: Not happy !!
Do not volunteer the information to your FEO that you have lodged your shotgun elsewhere unless asked and get a receipt to confirm the transfer even if it is only a <72 hour move.
Re: Not happy !!
Not if it is for less than 72 hours, it is only after this point that you must notify the police of the sale/transfer.
Re: Not happy !!
got an appointment with Docs this afternoon to get a fresh med assessment, also my club sec (an rfd) says he will look after my shotgun if needs be !

Re: Not happy !!
You can let the RFD have it for "a service" and that can be for several weeks without notification.
