You seem to be saying why overly focus on any component that doesn't specifically increase the accuracy and I just pointed out you're concerned about the look of your rifle as well.

Have I misunderstood your comment?

Just a casual enquiry...a single question hardly counts as a "fascination".
Given the OP was remarking that the supplied stock was a bit wobbly I just wondered if he had a plastic buffer tube....that's all, not "fascinated" just interested.

I didn't realise you could get buffer tubes that weren't metal. Sounds fascinating....

There was a big debate al while back about how "poor" quality a certain rifle was because it had a polymer buffer tube and not a aluminium and misguided perception that that must be bad.

If a stock was wobbly it would not be because the buffer tube was polymer per se , it could be a variety of reasons.
