Upper limit on Caliber size?

#1 Post by huntervixen »

Does anyone know if there is an upper limit on Sec 1 caliber sizes, for instance, I believe our American cousins, regard .50BMG as a "Destructive material" caliber and treat it in a different way?

No upper limit you just have to provide 'Good Reason', part of that would be somewhere to shoot it safely.

It is rumoured that the 6" guns on HMS Belfast (which are fully functional) are held on FAC.

I bet that caused a few raised eyebrows when the FLO came round to do the security checks.

Solidly attached to a 10000 ton steel object - what's the security problem?

I thought it had to be an immobile object? I reckon with a bit of effort you could shift the Belfast.

The upper limit on section 1 is 20mm , very limited on ranges though --- Warcop is one and Sennybridge another . :wales: :flag6:
