Remember it's only fascism or illegal when they are not doing it.

Another example of a politician with a skewed view of the subject he is pontificating on.
To use his logic; `Man gets knocked down by a red car, ban all red cars so it never happens again`!
LAWS ONLY AFFECT LAW ABIDING PEOPLE!

What is shocking is the way he has used Andy Murray's name without his permission then raked over the graves of the Dunblane dead to push a vegetarian agenda that has nothing to do with either.

On the plus side he's clearly a "filler" front bencher who is there to cosy up to "communities" and get votes while they are in opposition. His type are always dumped if they get into government and a proper psycho installed.... is that good news...?

His majority is marginal with the rest of the votes split between ConDem, so it's a space to watch.....

He has a real problem about the 5'000 or so children with a FAC in this country, he is of course preying on the general public and its inability to understand relative scale when it comes to any number! 5'000 with a FAC is a tiny proportion of the population under eighteen! There are approximately 12 million people under the age of eighteen in this country, the 5'000 of them that hold a FAC represent 0.2% of that population spread over the entire country. It is like when there are news articles on TV and the journo or so called expert says "There are a quarter of a million people doing x,y or z", in my head I am thinking "well that is 250 thousand" not so impressive then when you throw in the word a "million".

Those 5'000 children represent a tiny proportion of society and are likely far more disciplined then the average child.

He has also said on more then one occasion that those who are involved with any kind of hunting with guns are basically delusional or sick in the mind. He also has a habit of replying back to questions submitted by people who support shooting with this:
I am not seeking to stop people enjoying target and clay pigeon shooting. What I am calling for is:

• A ban on the private possession and storage in domestic dwellings of firearms.

• A mandatory annual medical test of everyone in possession of a firearms certificate to assess their ongoing suitability to have access to firearms.

• A publicly available register of everyone with a firearms certificate.

• The abolition of shooting live quarry for sport.

I would welcome your support for my calls for these reasonable reforms. If implemented they would make our society safer and more compassionate, as well as allowing us to continue winning Olympic medals in target shooting.

Best wishes

Chris Williamson
Why would anybody who is pro any kind of shooting support his "reasonable reforms". He is clearly goading us as he knows what it would do to the sport...utterly destroy it!

He is a horrid horrid man. Then again I gained great satisfaction at the CLA yesterday watching the young guns on the Clay line learning the skills in a responsible manner and how he hasn't got his way. Also eat some lovely Game meat as well! tongueout

Sandgroper wrote:According to the pdf attached - found here http://www.parliament.uk/briefing-papers/Sn04304 (p12 table2) for the period 2000 - 2011 there where 96 homicides involving firearms where the victim was female - compared to 499 who were strangled and 750 killed with a sharp instrument.

Good point Sandgroper.....so his recommendations regarding firearms should only be implemented after all pairs of hands are placed on certificate with tattooed seal numbers and all knives are made out of rubber!!

What a very sad deluded creature he is!
