Another short barrelled rifle (Bolt Action)
Carrying on from SimG's thread here is another short barrelled rifle, this time a bolt action. Usually I would expect it to have a longer barrel on it as the one shown is the barrel used for proof testing the rifles and actions.
With the rear interface removed for transport, the chassis is 550,0mm long with the back rear interface dropped off so add a 550,0mm long barrel and you should get an idea of how compact the rifle can be for transport. The rear interfcae is removed in under 5 seconds so the bolt is easily removed when needed and the barrel just screws off if you fancy a change of cartridge at the firing point.
This one is fitted with a .308 bolt face so a good choice of cartridges is available as long as they fit the AICS magazine.

Re: Another short barrelled rifle (Bolt Action)
I have just ordered three mods from One Less Charlie of this forum and one of them is sure to end up on this rifle as a demonstrator.
Re: Another short barrelled rifle (Bolt Action)
Hmmmmm, demonstrator..... I can see a long queue forming

Re: Another short barrelled rifle (Bolt Action)
We are just dithering over what to chamber the demonstrator in.

Re: Another short barrelled rifle (Bolt Action)
6,5x47 would work well and I know a man who is rather good when it comes to developing loads for it.
Re: Another short barrelled rifle (Bolt Action)
6.5 x47 would be good but would rule out anyone who might fancy giving it a go if they were looking for an FTR rifle which is where there could possibly be a good market?
