Yep, I'm one! When target shooting, accurate rifles bore the sh!t out of me. :o Simply put, I like variables in my shooting. Pest control/deer is a different story - when shooting animals - the animal is a variable I can't control so the rifle needs to be accurate.

Otherwise, for target shooting, I like rifles that make me work every time I shoot them - they are my variable. I like tinkering with them to understand how to get them to shoot better, but once I've succeeded the thrill is gone from them.

Some of my rifles make up for their accuracy by having quirks , like being single shot break barrels (45-70 and 223) or unusual ammunition (8x57R, 9mm Largo or 6.5x52mm). Others like my Winchester came to me as a problem child and those problems, quirks or inaccuracies make them come alive for me - they give each rifle a personality. Every time I shoot one or my rifles I like wondering, "Are you going to behave today or are you going to **** me around?"

Doesn't work for everyone, but it works for me! :good:

You get a smart new stock, a proper 10 round mag and the old wooden one will burn nicely on the fire and keep the house warm.

Whats not to like?
 clapclap

Ooo Diane Feinstein isn't going to like that stock, it turns that perfectly acceptable bolt action rifle into a long range sniper death machine! troutslapping

I'm with you on this one, there's nothing more boring than putting all your shots through the same hole, where's the challenge in that. Give me a WW2 rifle with 4x mag scope anyday, Ive had V bulls at 900yds with that no problem. I find older rifles more interesting and love the history behind them.
