Forum Down?

#1 Post by Polchraine »

Did the forum crash? I could not get access for a while from 14:15 (BST).

What is interesting, so far, is that for months I have been unable to access pages rapidly and 99% of the time needing to use Stop or Reload to get the page fully loaded. However, so far since the outage, the problem has disappeared and pages load first time.

Yup, server overload...not sure why. Nothing in the logs.

It certainly seems to have sorted out te issue I had ... the one which no one could resolve including the hosting company.

All we did was to restart the server. Since the server change that has happened 3-4 times if an overload has been detected.

Good bit faster now though, could it be a memory leak problem slowing strangling the server?
Careful now/that sort of thing

Oh well, spoke too soon.

Back to the old tricks again. Pages part load and I need to Stop then Reload once or twice.

At least the past 3/4 hour has shown the issue to be at the server and not here.
