Bipod question
Anyone have experience of the Edgar Brothers bipod as opposed to the Harris bipods, swivel type.
Or any other suggestions for a good bipod.

Re: Bipod question
I have shot with the Harris clones and for the money they were fine however it is really down to the application you need one for.

Re: Bipod question
Moderate range use for target shooting out to 800yrds, .243" calibre.
I would never go stalking with one.

Re: Bipod question
On a .243 it should be OK.

Adam
Wouldn't touch one with a bargepole, I had one on the boys .22 and the legs bent on the first outing.
If your looking for a cheaper Harris clone go for the global rifles version, half the price and you get a podlock on the swivel model

What is a Sapper? This versatile genius condenses the whole system of military engineering and all that is useful and practical. He is a man of all work of the Army and the public ready to do anything or go anywhere, in short, he is a Sapper.
Re: Bipod question
I have been using one on and off on full bore rifles for a good few years without problems so maybe they have changed design or supplier.

Steer clear. It went on a rifle, cal. 22-250 for a single evening and then went back. Shoddy effort.
Have a look at the vanguard equalizer if seeking a light model.

That was a useful tip! sign92pe4king wrote:Adam

I was at Bisley yesterday, shooting using a Harris bipod and thinking it would be great if I could lock the tilt. I think I'm going to treat myself to a new bipod.
