Is he au fait with H&S requirements of such a venture?
They could add significantly to his costs.

Re: "Club Standard" ammunition.
I think he could do well at those prices. I see plenty folk at Melville walk away without collecting their brass. 9mm would be a bonus for the Lever Release guys too. 223 for CSR, etc etc.
If his maths are correct then it could work but carriage will always be the killer with ammo. I would be happy to deliver non expanding to RFDs up here FOC if he was close to my business travels. (Appropriate letters of authority requires :-) )

It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Just to give your guy an idea of prices, Andy Allwood manufactures ammo for clubs in quantities, they are all proof tested etc, price are:Sim G wrote: Pistol calibers he's looking around reatil of 35 quid a 100 and rifle of 60 quid a 100. At the minute all fag packet maths with quotes from suppliers.
.38 special cowboy action load £24.00 per 100
.357 cowboy action load £36.00 per 100
.44mag cowboy action load £38.00 per 100 Ideal for 25m-50m
He will also buy back the empty cases at £4.00 per 100 hence reducing the overall cost considerably

Why would the 357 be 50% more expensive?

I can get new Starline 38 special cases for about £15 a 100 and 357 cases for about £16 a 100.
Re: "Club Standard" ammunition.
My mate reckons on them both being around the same price should he get into it.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
