Heavy cast .358" bullets.
I was just going to PM dodgyrog, but thought I'd throw it open should anyone else be aware of anything..
Roger, do you cast anything in the 180 to 200 grain .358" bullets, preferably with a flat point?
Anyone else know of any "heavy" .358 bullets out there?

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

As a starting point are these of any use to you?

Are they to go with your request for 35 Remington reloading equipment/brass?

Yes Grant, they are for the .35, which is in the pipeline.
Yeah, I saw them on Midway. I use Hunters in .32, but I'm not paying 100 quid for 500 cast bullets..... Not when a decent mould will cost me the same!
That said, I'll give it a bash with some 158's if nothing is forthcoming and add the mould to my "Christmas list"!

I thought you would have checked MidwayUK. Had a look at the Hodgdon website and the lightest bullet for the 35 Remington is 180 grain.
If you have to go with the 158s Trail boss might be a good starting point?
The 35 Remington looks like a handy round - do you have a Black Bear problem down your way?

Grant, CAS shooters have long since developed "cowboy loads" with lights bullets. 6.5gns of Trail Boss seems to be the standard...
Cheers Roger, I may very well have to have a 100 of them. How "round is round" as I'm going to run them through a tube mag?

I could swage a flat nose onto them - size of a primer

Now that's service! I'll have a 100 of them initially, please. There's no rush as I don't have the rifle yet. I'll be picking it up at Phoenix. Could we coincide....?

Henry Krank and Hannahs Reloading - both in Yorkshire sell hard cast 180 grn T/C which work well for my M77 with 2400.
I've seen them elswhere as well.
