HALODIN, let me know how the smaller one is once you've swapped them. I'm probably going to get the smaller one and the only question I had was whether it would stay rigid when picked up by the shoulder strap.

I have the larger one and have been using it for a year or two but only typically once a month.

It's stood up well and looks as good as new. It stays rigid when I use the shoulder strap. I normally struggle from the car with 3 rifles, the range bag, and a deck chair.

Off the top of my head I would say I have the following in it.
Ammo for 3 or 4 rifles.
Ear defenders.
Small cast metal front rest
Cleaning kit
Spray oil
A few cans of pop
Jet Boil and tea making kit
Spotting scope and small tripod
Plate and spoon for lunch
Sun tan lotion!
Shooting log
Misc rags and bits of kitchen roll.

There's plenty of room left over for the kitchen sink in there yet. ;)

My 5.11 rucksack was also money well spent. It has outlasted all others and then some..That bag has been on virtually every trip I've taken in eight years, usually as carry on when I fly...sometimes weighing in at 15kg!!!!

Only trouble I have with it is there are so many damn pockets I end up losing stuff in the bag. I know it's there, I just can't find the pocket...some I didn't know about till a year after I bought it. sign01 sign01

Ordered the "compact" bag yesterday via Cop Shop UK and it arrived today. Even this model is big but I like it and it will serve me fine.

Great service from Cop Shop UK.

These bags look quite good, but as stated getting the right size, so ive gone for the same the compact bag. clapclap

Bought a bag last year but didnt really realise what type I needed so went for a laptop type bag, no good whatsoever, this bag should now store everything, with out the need for me to carry odd items in my hands....

Main compartment seems really big but 200 rounds of 44 mag, my ammo belt, lunch, jacket or sweatshirt etc it will be spot on. Some good little pockets on it too.
