Well about Me !!

#1 Post by James303 »

Hello All,

I stumbled across this Forum and am very pleased I have too.

I shoot Smallbore weekly and Fullbore for as much of the year that I can. I began Fullbore in the CCF and shot in the Imperial twice as a Cadet - actually getting on some prize lists !

My shooting tailed off significantly until I moved out of London some 8 years ago. Since then I have taken it back up with aveangance. Sadly my 7.62 is not up to the modern standard required to shoot competitively - so I have taken to shooting Service Rifle with a few other hardy souls which though more relaxed is still fiercely competitive under the surface. I now use my trust Longbranch which shoots very well and am still hunting for that elusive complete early SMLE.........

I still shoot TR and have represented my County on two occasions - note using another members more up to date rifle !!!!

Sure I will have fun here and if anyone has a super SMLE for sale - please let me know !!!!

I'm just rebarreling two No 1 Mk 3's.
I will clean them up as well - I'll let you know when they're done.

Thank you one and all for the welcome. I have learnt from other forums the best way is to say what you are about from the start....

Anyhow - now late and off to start my RCO revision for the 4th time...
