my new Mosin nagant

#1 Post by woodsman »

Hi all
Just like Martin s i got my Mosin from Chris at C&G on Saturday morning and my Enfield no 4 last week from Highwood Classics so today i had a trip to the range with both rifles the no 4 is 100% spot on put about 70 round down range only had a few 7.62 x 54 r rounds but very very happy with the old lady she is a Izevsk made in 1925 so a good bit older than me.

A few of the lads at the club had a little go with both rifles most are better shots than me but it was a good fun morning and nice to know both are good guns. tongueout

My Mosin came from Chris, did you get the sniper version with scope or just the standard. I just put the milsurp ammo through it and have been able to get Vbulls at 900 yds, that's some going with a less than 4x mag scope.

Hi Lasbrisas it's not a sniper just a bog standard 1925 Izevsk but has a mint barrel and the numbers all match shoots well but Chris only had 15 rounds of milsurp ammo.

Would like to know if i can get the cheap ammo in Norfolk :good:

Fenland Rural Sports just outside Warboys should have some in stock, if you can produce a valid club card you should get 10% discount on the shown prices. also if Adrian is around ask him to show you the back room, it is a treasure trove of strange old wooden rifles stacked and piled all over the place.
