This land on an adjacent farm, the farmer took me down to see it. Theres a lot of work needs doing, which would require
a JCB or something of the sort. The farmer (Terry)said to me he was prepared to allow us to shoot there, but the members would have to do the work themselves. Building the backstop, getting tons of sand and blocks and whatever else needed to the site, building the firing points etc. It would cost a substancial amount of money to be laid out, who`s going to pay this. Not Christine for sure, she has been collecting fees for years and has not even repaired the original range, for those of you who knew Senghenydd all we had was a backstop set up against the old NCB coal tip, which years ago someone had dug out and put in a layer of sand, that in its self was full with lead and copper.
As much as I would love to renew my membership I will not hold my breath waiting.
well as a member last year i paid my subs £50 only to have the range closed with no access for a year, how many others are in the same position, i have already written to christine requesting refunding of my subs, if returned i will donate them to the new club i am also committed to building the new range
