Any suggestions as to what next?
Hi All
I am a big military rifle fan and my current 'stock list' is as follows:
1917 SMLE
1944 No4
P14 (I think 1914)
M44 Negant 1947 (flame thrower)
1944 K31
My P14 is effectively sold and I am considering selling the No4. Not planning on replacing both slots on the FAC but only the one, so any suggestions for what I could replace them with. I have currently considered G98 (or K98), 03 springfield, No5 or a Long Branch No4. I am not too fussed over the MAS 36 and used to own a Negant with PU scope. Any comments or opinions will be well received! If anyone knows any good sources of their suggestions I would also appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

If you want another carbine I can totally recommend the Steyr M95 - link to the one Dromia sold me http://www.pukkabundhooks.com/index.php ... ibre8x56R/
The only downside is sourcing the en-bloc clips - I've managed to acquire 17 (85 rounds ready to go! clapclap )

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Be interested in this myself as a WWI buff, very keen to get a suitably dated G98 in the cabinet.....JS569 wrote:What sort of price doing they command? I've just been looking at some pictures of them on here and they look brill!MartinS wrote:Hi there

The Springfields are first class rifles, getting pricey but a good investment. The 30-06 is a most excellent cartridge. They make fine cast boolit shooters, my '03 is a keeper and gets used regularly indoors and out.
