UK AR15 Forum - Is there one?

#1 Post by Blackstuff »

Hello all,

I was wondering, is there a dedicated UK AR15/black rifle forum or do people just go on the American one (ar15.com)? any????

Cheers

I think the US based forum, with the UK sub-section was the only one. Bit of a "boys club" from what I saw...

Shooters are a tiny minority in the UK anyway, and us "black rifle shooters" a minority of a minority, whatever that would be called.....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Yep - look at the number of posts any UK shooting forum gets.

This site and PW (and maybe one or two others) are the only ones that get people posting on a regular basis.

A big group of AR owners are banned from here for whatever reason, and active elsewhere.

Could you point Blackstuff in that direction?

Maybe because they came here and acted like spoilt kids. If they cannot stick to the forum rules then they can stick to their own forum. Which has even more rules!

You mean like the Civilian Service Rifle Shooting lot?

AR15.com does have a UK sector I believe.

If you go onto the ar15.com forum and along the tope drop down menus there is a "hometown" option go into that and at the bottom it says United Kingdom,

hopefully that'll sort u out but I wasn't overly impressed :squirrel:

I think it was either 4 or maybe 5 at a push and yes it was a black day for the forum as it was the first time people had been binned permanently. I know the Viking thought long and hard about her actions and certainly was not happy about it however it happened and the forum moved on.

For the record Mark Bradley has a good reputation on the range and I know is passionate about the CSR discipline, unfortunately he over stepped the mark here and the rest, as they say, is history.
