I have quite a few hundred .308 Palma brass left over from a project so I am going to load some up for the Vikings M65A. I was going to use the trusted CCI BR small rifle primers with some N540 however I have been thinking about using magnum primers instead, has anyone tried them with the Palma brass?
Bullets will probably be fine pointed Berger 155's

Re: Lapua .308 Palma brass, which primers?
I get very good results with CCI 450 magnums, especially with the N5xx powders. Both 450s and BR4s have harder cups than most other makes, so are not prone to piercing, which can be a problem with some types of SR primer. Good info on this at: http://www.jamescalhoon.com/primers_and_pressure.php

Yes CCI 450 is the way to go especially in cold weather.Never experienced delayed ignition with this primer even in sub zero (Celsius).
