I suspect we might now need this bit of information:-

If I was shooting on Sticks target 20, from 900yds in a howling Left wind, happily hitting the target but but aiming off at target 19! how many MOA is that equivalent to?

any????

Probably around 25 minutes... depends on the spacing of the frames.

I did my first probationary shoot at Bisley on Tuesday - great fun. Although I wasn't on Stickledown at 900 yds I heard one shooter say they had 21 MOA left on for wind at target 50. Wind was 8 o'clock on the near flags and 9 on the far ones and there was some slack in the flags and looking steady although it was pretty gusty on short siberia.

The Distance between target centres is approx 16 minutes of angle, so your howling wind is 16 minutes plus whatever you think that the wind strength is.

Steve,

Don't forget the flag gaps and the half mile in the middle (I forget the numbers - 22 - 23 I think)

I was down at bisley 2weeks ago on century and had a drive round to have a look at stickledown, while I understand 100% why all the trees have been cut down it does look a bit grim, it reminded me of pictures from the battlefields of WW1, not good.

Looks like they are standing still to me! I have always favoured targets to the right and have always done best on targets 46 to 50. I suppose it is what you get used to.
