Deer Stalking… reliable word of mouth recommendation from someone you know has undertaken such stalking being offered by a specific syndicate is best. Like other walks of life, stalking has its scammers. E.G., make sure there is deer, of the species sought, on the land being made available; that appropriate insurance is in place; that there is recourse for recompense if it all goes wrong. In addition, obtain and understand terms and conditions; consider the implications of allowing a syndicate leader to be a FAC mentor; make sure ‘coaches’ are suitably qualified; consider the quality of deer management, the construction & execution of a shooting plan and safety; determine if the land is over-shot.
If in doubt, contact BASC or similar.

Steady on oomans, consider the other side of the story. This could have been a bit of the chav control that many of you so readily espouse...

When I had a farm, chickens, turkeys, pigs and sheep an animal organization would capture foxes in the towns and dump them live
in the country. This practice caused a lot of problems with livestock and I wonder now if it still happens. These cute looking animals
are for their size a danger particulaly when cornered.

I agree that it should be an offence to feed foxes; but there are other more humane ways of dealing with foxes than gassing or poisoning - firstly, as you say, don't feed them - secondly people need to secure their waste as well to discourage scavenging - and although it's harsh, maybe foxes in problem areas that are picked up injured, sick or diseased should be put down rather than treated and released....Jenks wrote:Time to get on and tackle the problem... Also, just to put some perspective on this - there have been 2 confirmed instances where children/babies have been attacked in the last 3 years...in the same time frame, how many children/babies have been attacked by dogs in the UK...hundreds? ....thousands?....

Shoot them as well.
Re: Urban fox attack on baby .
Yeah instead of feeding em. They can't be treated and certainly never released. Save everyone a lot of money.

I want to find who is dumping them near me ... http://www.full-bore.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=11293 a couple more sighting over the past few days but never an opportunity for a clear and legal shot - 42g of BB from 10metres should be enough.
