Depends what you are using them in, personally I like and prefer the Minimags however they are not cheap.

The club charges £6.40 for 100 minimags and £5.40 for std, I'm using them in a bolt action

mini mags all the way; £6.40 for 100 is pretty good, they are £7.00 for 100 at my club.zzr1100 wrote:The club charges £6.40 for 100 minimags and £5.40 for std, I'm using them in a bolt action
Eley Match or Lapua were the best .22LR ammo I've used to date in the clubs CZ bolt action - expensive though!

Re: Ammuntion vfm
Surely MM and Std are different velocity ammos , and would be used for different purposes , MM for semi autos good for Mini Rifle runs clean and fast .
I wouldnt waste my money on Thunderbolts unreliable with FTF being very numerous and very dirty .

Re: Ammuntion vfm
MiniMag will often work better in a semi-auto.
If you have a bolt gun then you can do a lot worse than CCI Std. They should be every much as good as the MiniMag but the waxy lead bullets can often cause trouble with feeding in semis.

Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Re: Ammuntion vfm
So, oomans, what .22 fodder would you recommend for a .22 LR Remington 597 semi-auto ? We're currently using CCI Mini-mags but occasionally get a dud or two.
