If anyone wants a good book about the Martini Henry and isnt prepared to pay the daft asking prices for the ones available on the Bay then have a look here....

My wife ordered me one for my birthday and it arrived in a couple of days. I did manage to have a quick peek at it before it was ripped from my hands and wrapped up and it looks a very good book. Roll on tomorrow

Thanks for the warning!........although I think my wife has other designs for me tomorrow night tongueout.......I am cooking the birthday bbq (they taste better in the winter) and I have 100 rounds of .223 to load for her ready for Wednesday's shoot at Stanta.
Just noticed your location-I had some of my best holidays as a boy around Carnac-lovely part of the world.

Enjoy the BBQ and the book Meaty! We're about an hour north of Carnac, but only about 50 miles!! The roads around here aren't the fastest. Hopefully I'll receiev my MK IV shortly...then have to learn about her quirks!!!
Remember, once you retire there's no such thing as a "weekend"!

I'll have to look into getting that book as I am looking for a zulu war era rifle, I have even been reading up on reloading for them and watched a few tube videos.
