Joe, this was by far the easiest rifle I have ever researched although I did stumble slightly with some of the information as it was in a mixture of German and French (Google translate is handy at times like this)

Mine certainly isn't as clean an example as yours but its one of my favourite guns. If i could source some spare mags and a boyonet, it would be added tp my Zombie short list.

Scotsgun - Short list maybe however they are certainly not a short gun! I was impressed to note it was the same length as a Danish Snider 1,31m so add a bayonet and you have about six feet of pointy thing in your hands!

We could do with some stripper clips for ours and a bayonet would be a handy addition as well.

Opa, I researched mine about ten years ago when I first bought it at the Trafalger meeting, I really should do it again and keep records this time!


As you said they are a loooong rifle.





I picked up a Model 1918 bayonet for mine last month, at £40 from a long time friend I thought it a bargain.




I gave the bayonet a try on Droomie's K31 last range day and at 500yds it was knocking over the Fig11 every shot with PPU.
If I recall correctly it was shooting somewhat low sans bayonet.

I seldom manage to keep things I write down which is why I have started writing the Dansk Gevaer Journal, any Strange Old Wooden Rifles that come into the house from now on will be recorded so I know what we have got and hopefully it will whet the appetites of potential SOWR owners who are searching for information on the webynet. What I write is hardly the definitive description of something however it is enough for me to refer back to.
