Taurus LBR
My Dad a few days ago bought himself a second hand Taurus M66 .357Mag LBR, finally took it to the range last night and began to sight it in.
Got to say I loved it, I found it comfortable, balance and easy to use, even the coat hanger didn't bother me in the slightest!
I know many shooters have bemoaned them since they aren't 'the real deal' and I sympathise, Though was too young to have been a pistol shooter when they were banned I have still shot handguns in both Jersey and Switzerland.
So now to find speedloaders and a holster for my Dad, any recommendations would be appreciated!

Nope!
Re: Taurus LBR
Can someone point to that particular regulation?
I asked someone who really should know, and they said that std firearm rules apply, however club Chief RCO says no-one but the licensed owner can touch it!?

Can't remember where, but you can only use somone else's guns if the type is on club licence. IIRC LBR are not granted to club licence because they "are not suitable for target shooting" but you can only shoot them at a target shooting club ??? Perhaps someone knows chapter & verse.murphwiz wrote:Can someone point to that particular regulation?
Re: Taurus LBR
I do have a variation for it and we were advised by our FEO that it was ok for me to use it, similar to the Section 1 shotgun rules

Re: Taurus LBR
Incorrect, this is a section 1 firearm anyone can use it while target shooting under section 15 of the firearms act. This is common misconception and has been through the hoops with the sportsman assocation and a number of clubs have these on their club certificate..... they are carbines in the eyes of the law.gungho wrote:I hope its on your FAC as well as your fathers, its the only way you can shoot it.dave_303 wrote:My Dad a few days ago bought himself a second hand Taurus M66 .357Mag LBR, ......
