Hey Everyone
Does anyone know of any privately owned fullbore ranges in Kent?
The reason for asking is the Shooting society at my uni is currently looking to set up fullbore shoots, but few (3 out of 45) actually have NRA Competency Certificates or the MoD equivalent so hiring Hythe and Lydd ranges out would be a bit of a pain.

Re: Fullbore ranges in Kent
No, none that I'm aware of. Loads and loads of small bore/pistol gallery. Our club seriously sought out suitable land on which to build or to re-commission abandoned ex-military ranges in the area, of which there are few being used for grazing..... but no luck. In all honesty, it may be a whole world simpler to get the other 42 to obtain the safe shooter cards.....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I know Lydd were after their own range a couple of years back, but as Sim says, there aren't any private full bore ranges in Kent :(

Thanks guys
And Sim I concur, we were looking at getting the Competency Cards sorted in the long run as it was but was hoping for a more short term solution
