North American Arms 22 Short Derringer. razz

Shooting clays with a 4 bore muzzle loader was huge fun and shooting clays with an Accuracy International at 1000m was also good. A LSW on full auto was also memorable mostly because it was so accurate. Turret control tests on the CV90 are always going to be a fond memory even if it was one of the coldest days I have ever known.

Everything I shoot puts a smile on my face (I rarely smile if not shooting)
Shot a .38 Muzzle loading revolver (Nitro) on Saturday - huge grin (Especially as I held the 9 + 10 ring at 30yds)

My wife fired a blind with a Charlie G when we were in the OTC together; remember the enthusiasm with which the RSM wandered down the range with his block of PE4.Doz wrote:Never quite saw eye-to-eye with the Charlie G, got a faceful of sh*t and a strange pressure-related 'kick in the nuts' on the one occasion they let me loose with the real deal instead of the training round. Yeah, I know - wimp... :lol:Sandgroper wrote:The 84mm Carl Gustav AKA 'Charlie Gutsache' would be my number 1, :shakeshout:
My own 'most fun thing' was anti-aircraft training somewhere on Salisbury Plain with the GPMG, the target was a radio-controlled plane. We shot at it, they landed it, patched it up and sent it up again. Until I put one through the engine block that is, strangely the bloke didn't seem as amused as I did...

Firing 120mm APFSDS and HESH rounds from a Challenger 2 main battle tank (nearly got the horn!!!),
Also letting rip with a 50 cal M2/QCB Browning machine gun at the Fabrique Nationale ranges in Belgium. Free ammo all bright white tracer absolutely destroyed a sh*t load of figure 11 targets. Didn't even have to tidy up the bits of targets after shooting.

M2 50bmg firing APIT....................
on skittles at 20 yards!
Felled a tree with an MG42 and a BAR.
Got to fire a Ruger P90 and a Skorpian machine pistol last year, both quite unusual and rare.
Having fired a plethora of mg`s over the years you still cant beat a Thompson with a drum mag!

Firing a captured Argentinian 7.62 FN Fal. Firing and trying to control it on full auto was a lot of fun. They also had these grenades that looked like small cannon balls with a timer on top, a couple of us nearly did ourselves a bad injury working out how the timer thingy on it worked.
