.22LR firearms in general. I’ve never warmed to them, they don’t do anything for me. Sorry.

Shotguns. Again, they’ve never done it for me.

Long-Barrel Revolvers. See above.

Straight-pull! :o My Steyr would like to have words with you. ;)

The Steyr is exempt from above. It is not "Tactikool". What I was referring to was all the black-plastic, straight-pull ARs and AKs that we have to live with in a self-loading-free country.

I can't think of anything I dislike about my chosen sport. Writing as the owner of three AR-15's as far as I'm concerned the plastic bits are part and parcel of the package and I really couldn't care as long as the rounds I shoot go where I want them to go which they do very accurately.

The straight pull Steyr AUG. Hideously clunky, heavy and did not live upto almost 40 years of a mental picture of what it would be like.

I agree with Blackstuff-people who are prepared to sell out fellow shooters to save their own chosen displin.

I have to agree about 'tactikool' - It'd be a completely different matter if you could still use semi-auto, and shoot some interesting causes of fire...but as they are, I just don't see the point...(but each to their own)

You should look up some of Blackstuff's practical shotgun videos...you'll find some 'merit' there :good:

I do believe i hate you! troutslapping

Straight pull - how could you ignore the beauty and engineering excellence of a Schmit Rubin K11?

22LR firearms - seroiusly - Anschutz target rifles and bolt action hunting rifles.

Shotguns - A fine side-by-side with detailed engraving, preserving the history and beauty of its design. The balance, the way in which it becomes one with you as you swing through a testing bird. You can't understand it?

Long-barrelled revolvers - you've got me there. Great awful lumps of rubbish. Poorly balanced and resembling more an incapacity aid than a firearm. Complete waste of metals.

Shooting always makes me fell good. Last Sunday for instance was a pretty boring Sunday. I had done what reloading I wanted to get done along with other stuff that needed doing. When I'm bored I tend to get a trifle grumpy, and so I went out back and did some pistol shooting. Was out there for a couple of hours and when I when I came back into the house my wife asked "feeling better now". I guess she knows me pretty well. For me there is no downside to shooting, when I'm shooting, I'm happy.
