P 03 Bayonet

#1 Post by daryldiane »

Hi,
Picked up a P03 bayonet at the Classic arms fair at Bisley on Sunday.
Thought it was a P88, what threw me was that the blade was VR marked, but I understand that many 88s were converted to 03s.
Not sure how rare they are, haven't seen any before.
Any idea on rarity and values? its in nice overall condition with MK1 P88 scabbard.
Thanks

Hi Daryl.

Thanks for the pictures, I always keep an eye open for bayonets, that is one I have not been looking for so not sure about how rare or value.
When I need to check a price of a bayonet I look at J C Militaria web site, there stock is always good condition so gets a higher sale price, just had a quick look seems they have a few 88 and 2 of 03's.
