Well, it is approaching Halloween! (Or Samhain, if you like.

Apparently they were all rather 'rotund' black women? chanting like some ceremony in an unintelligible dialect (like my kids text language then!) didnt find any dead goats or stuff but some friendly campers told them to Foxtrot Oscar?
Gaz they woke u up what were they?

Some of the boys have pics I think, will ask them...
It was the weirdest thing I've seen at Bisley, and I include the night after the Queen's Final in that. Three women wearing white robes, on a deserted path in the middle of the woods south of Inns of Court midway between Bisley and Pirbright, hollering and chanting away at the trees from 0645 onwards. Loud enough to wake a campsite full of students and exhausted markers.
The strangest thing was that once they were finished doing their Zulu impressions they walked off into the middle of Bisley! I lost them after they left site 7.
I almost felt guilty telling IainWR about them...

I walked the dog through the Inns of Court camp site on Saturday evening and they were there---but my memory (unreliable!) says that there were 5 of them. Kneeling down, facing east and chanting. Ground conditions were such that they must have had very wet knees.
