Illustrated is the combination bore guide made from a commercial American job, the central tube with O rings to seal the chamber and a customised chamber piece made from a nylon Swing boreguide biught from Fultons at Bisley. Customising consists of a milled channel to fit my Barnard and the brass knob. Similar guides have been made for Sako and Tikka actions. They seem to work well.

I use one of the wooden A.J. Parker ones.

I'd misplaced it for a while, which wasn't good!

One bit of good news though; they may be getting re-manufactured again.

I had forgotten about this thread tongueout

I ended up making aluminium guides with locking lugs for Remington 700 and Savage actions, plus T3, AI, Howa, P14, Sako, RPA, Blaser and many others, they come in short medium and long with cleaning ports, plus Nitril O rings on the nose sections to prevent cleaning fluid back into the magazine well and action. plus screw in rod guide sections on the back end, plus knurled or grooved handles, plus various finishes...

Pheww.... I am sure I missed some out as well. Our cleaning rod guides sell very well and ship right across the world, I have even shipped to Japan!

Today I have to build one for a Remington 700, Nitrile O ring on the front, the standard locking lug system, cleaning port and a screw in rear section to ensure the rod is perfectly aligned. Bespoke item really and I build nearly as many specials as I do standard guides.
