Posting of negative comments in the Gunshop section could bring unwanted criticism on the forum, having said that it is important to let members know if dealings with a Gunshop were less than ideal for you. To that end we will allow what will be known as the 'Scotsgun Ruling'

Beyond that please take it up with the Gunshop, if you do resolve the issue in a agreeable manner let us know!
I visited Marice Drummen , near Maastricht in NL last night (late opening on Thursdays until 20:00) to collect a Dillon RT1200 trimmer. Marice must have the best selection of Dillon gear *in stock* that I've found in Northern Europe. Keen prices (much cheaper than buying direct from the US), and very helpful too. The shop is stunning, but unfortunately Dutch Law doesn't permit me to take a photo of the display of handguns, AR's etc , but here are some presses

Weird indeed. Apparently they are having a new brochure made soon, and they will have to remove all the guns from the shop for the photo shoot. Regs in NL have recently tightened, but the threat of a semi-auto ban was overturned.

So, you can't take pictures of the guns in the shop, but, they can have a website with pictures of guns on ( and pics of girlies "holding" guns too !).
I'm guessing that this is protect the security features/measures of/in the shop?
Clearly, the NL laws are as weird as ours, which is quite reassuring really, in a funny sort of way.

I have never heard of this new "law" overhere?
What makes more sense to me is that M Drummen wants to keep a low profile from
the witch hunt caused bij the media shortly after the Alphen incident last year.
For security sakes he's verry careful,You never now where these pictures end up? not to mention the
problems afterwards!.
Yes the laws concerning firearms are tightened up some rules more unfavorable for new shooters
but understandable.
Luckely i can stil keep my M1 rifle.

The part i feel ok with in the new law is that new shooters can only
own .22 cal weapons in their first year of ownership.
than gradualy progress with larger caliber weapons in the second year,after that they can own
semiautomatic rifles.
The bar is put higher so to speak,Hopefully this prevents the run to shootingclubs after some holywood movies
such as Snipers in stalingrad and such.
We see that event every time with a movie release.
.22 only for the first year? I'd buy into that if the initial FAC application was turned round quickly, AND we could have proper .22 free, and semi-auto pistols without coat hangers...............
