We had a very interesting talk at our clubs Classic Arms section meet last week where a varied selection of Sniders were on display.

If you spot the non Snider in the woodpile and can name it, give yourself a pat on the back.




One of the more interesting arms for me was this "big bore" pinfire Danish Snider.

Among the nice selection of the British Sniders was this delightful BSA artillery? carbine with a period style sling.

A bit of a rarity was this Canadian Cadet rifle which saw sevice into the early 1900's.

Like those carbines, especially the Canadian Cadet.

Some corrections.

The Danish Snider is a rimfire not a pinfire.

Third one down isn't a Pattern 53 it is a Pattern 56.

I love the rear sight on the Danish-simplicity and elegance.
