Not sure if many UK board members have had the opportunity to see one of these. Ran across this recently, Nazi marked Fabrique National production 1922 Browning. In pretty rough shape though because I always wanted one decided to throw out a cash offer, paid a little too much probably based on the condition though ended up taking it home regardless. Fired 50 rounds of S@B 7.65 Browning thru it without any malfunctions so it works pretty good.

A nice piece of history, I saw one many years ago over here in the UK, languishing in a cabinet at Sandy Rod and Gun and was tempted.. No doubt it was turned into pipe fittings at the local foundry some time afterwards.

Sad really.

I had one prior to the pistol ban and that too had Nazi markings. I am told that after Germany invaded Belgium they were issued to German police units during the war. It shot very well indeed. It looks like the original grips have been replaced on your gun.

Hi et, I occasionally get to see this FN Browning at our Section 7-3 club evenings, It belongs to a fellow club member who owns a few classic pistols. I shoot a MkIV Webley myself.

Looks like a model 1910 Browning which has a shorter barrel and shorter grip/magazine if I am not mistaken.

The FN Browning did the Russians copy or have help copying the Brownig and called it the Tokarev tt33. Nice pistol by the way. You know it only upsets us brits showing pictures like this... keep em coming...

Correct.

Apparently ( the 1910 model) it was the pistol used in the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which led to the start of the Great War.
The grip safety can take a bit of getting used to.
