No-one told me that you have to watch out for catfood kibble in the empty cases! wtfwtf

Would have been nice if they had cos then I wouldn't have worried when the measured charge of powder didn't all fit in the case.

I wouldn't have tried to find a fault with my load or electronic powder thrower.

I also wouldn't have had my son practically rolling around on the floor in fits of laughter when we worked out what had happened. sign01 :cool2:

Mind you it did mean that I found the other cat food filled cases before I tried to add powder :shakeshout:

Any other points out there that we should know about?

Yes, at some point when you regularly load different calibres you will leave the wrong size shell holder in the press, it will be the one that a rifle case seems to fit in (.44 instead of a .308 so you don't notice!) and when you full length size the case you'll find it remains in the die when you try to pull it back out, this leads to a lot of fun and the occasional bent de-capping pin/rod as you try and use it to remove said case.

I have never ever done this at all, ever, honestly, it was the cat not me, or it may have been the other cat as I know she shoots 308 as well

Well i'm curious so i'm just going to ask, how did the catfood get in the cases??

Have you rigged another hopper on your press to discharge them and you've trained you cat to work the press and get them as reward? tongueout

Just out of curiosity could you point me at the cat food burning rate chart you are using.

Which brand do you find the fastest burning?

Store your reloading components/gear separately from pet foods. Kibbles bits in the cases emrolleyes

We have an exceptionally clever cat when it comes to food. He absolutely adores the kitten food and I had a small bag hidden up on a high shelf. Obviously not hidden well enough as he had chewed his way in through the side of the bag. Kibble fell out and over the box of prepped cases ready to be loaded. Now, the only kibble I found was in the cases - hence why I didn't notice - and I cannot believe that he only knocked out a dozen or so bits and they all landed inside the cases. So he must have sat there & patiently hoiked the other bits out of the box! :cool2:
