Cotton Tipped Applicators.

#1 Post by bobbob »

Does anybody know where to get these in the UK? We got some from Brownells a few years back. They were really good for getting into the AR's nooks and crannies as they were plastic and flexed just enough to do the job. When we ran out we went back to Brownells as we couldn't find them anywhere else. The shipping cost was silly and they only had the wooden ones which keep on snapping.
We need some more but getting them from the US seems daft when the postage costs more than the item.

They are 6" long, plastic shaft, cotton tipped applicators. I have looked on computer web sites, make up and hair dressing, medical but haven't found them, only the short ones.

Thanks for looking.

As Polchraine says, try one of the electronic component distributors. Farnell & RS Components being the major ones.

The closest I could find would be these: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/cotton-bu ... s/0494578/ although there's quite a few other styles available.

Thanks to you both for looking.
We can get the wooden ones, it's the plastic ones we are after as they flex without snapping.

No problem - Polchraine's & my links are both for 6-inch/"plastic"/cotton swabs. I guess it's a matter of large vs small cotton tips...
