Made on a Long Lee action by BSA, Enfield rifling in .303" British, this is the No2 Model and it retailed at 180/- in 1912.

I've had the odd gong with this in the Running Deer competition at the Trafalgar over the years as well as having taken a few reds with it.

Very nice indeed, I saw one for sale a couple of year ago, in the original wooden case with the original accessories, apparently it had belonged to a Vicar. It did not have a price on it and I did not have the nerve to ask.

Just think 180/- in 1912 was a lot of money certainly many times the average weekly wage.
All said and done though a nice rifle with a lovely but of wood on it.
I have a sporterised Enfield in front of me at the moment all stripped im working out what to do with it, I have been thinking as it has already been chopped about what about putting a scout scope mount on it it is a nice light rifle with a short barrel, I cant put it back to a military spec as it has all been polished and blued

Oh between the £450 and £650 mark depending on where you are and the condition of the rifle.
