Got back from a few days in Cornwall and my FAC and renewed SGC were sat on the door mat.
party2  :shakeshout: clapclap
That was about 16 weeks (with some chasing/pushing), not sure it would of been so quick without my coterminous SGC renewal though.
Got everything I asked for, so best get saving ready for the shooting show in February.
One question though, I understand when you buy ammo they write the purchase on the ammo part of the license but there are only 6 lines for entries, what are you supposed to do when that's filled up?

Well done! Only 6 lines though.. that seems a bit odd, I have four odd sized boxes and people normally just write very small to maximise the space available and then move onto a sheet of paper stapled to the certificate.

Sorry, 6 lines of boxes.
You would think they would give you a few pages for ammo.
9 lines for firearms, which is spot on to what I wanted.

Congrats on getting your FAC party2
As for ammo entries there are probably six rows of boxes on the FAC, ignore that they just right in line by line in small writing you'd be amazed how many entries will squeeze in.

Start homeloading! clapclap
Seriously though, most gun shops are quite skilled in writing in the most titchy tiny fashion and once its eventually full staple a sheet of paper to it.Saying that though,i bet by then you've stuck in a variation to add more which means they'll print you another anyway.

Only one problem with home loading , even more lines needed if they get their way . Talking to my LFO he was telling how they want to monitor peoples usage of weapons to prove good reason , by watching ammo usage and i raised the question about home loading and fact bullet heads purchase not listed on ticket he said they might start asking for owners to note on their own ticket ammo they manufacture! I think on that basis they had better start a printing press up cus most people will be filling the tickets in no time ! A guy i know in the Chester area says that that is already something that is being asked for by their LFOs. Any one else seen or heard of this ?

Just create your own Shooting Log Book. Record what you shot, where, when, why, notes and that should be more than enough. You can download many pages for free from the web.

Dont see why they're asking this.If you shoot at a club you sign into a register which is proof that you're using your guns.Firearms cannot function without ammunition so if you're using them, but not puchasing it-its obvious you homeload.
If you buy expanding its put on your certificate. Both present methods should be enough to satisfy the Police.
