FTR Weight limits : The benefits of not guessing

David "Ovenpaa" had last week helped me get my FTR rifle into weight
My rifle is now a trim 8.1 kg with the new bipod - abit down from the 8.7 or so we started with
Who knew that 500 / 600 grams would be such hard work - but in the hands of the master :cheers: :goodjob:
As for my new Bipod - it is broader than me across the chest / shoulders - and that is no mean feat I tell you!!!
I am like Obelix - I have a "fallen chest"
KEY Specs
18 inches minimum footprint - up to 29 inches!!!
670 grams
Its stable and a pleasure to use

This is the new "Shooting Shed WBBL Bipod"
WBBL = Wide But Bloody Lite :goodjob:
At 670 grams!!!! EPIC
USE
I did about 140 rounds with it this past Fri and Sat!!!
It is so stable its harder to believe
I had almost no tracking from side to side - and as importantly it really returned to battery very consistently!

Hoi, did you take those pictures tonight, I see the bottle is half empty already!
Is the name WBBL taken, if not I can see myself using it, the bit I really liked was the pick up for the AICX chassis, it was an inspired bit of machining if I say so myself. I would have taken a picture of the bipod at full width but it was wider than the work surface!

Tim,
Your opportunities for excuses are diminishing with every turn of David's machinery! :lol:
Mik has nominated me for manning the scales at the Europeans.
Will you be bringing the scaling wine for weighing too?

We actually went out and purchased some sooper dooper scales for this project so Tim if it is over weight demand sight of the scales calibration certificate! :lol:

Those that have met me can confirm I need no excuse - cos I am THE EXCUSE :-)
Will have some nice Saffa Red for you - but I do know I am in the FTR gun weight limit - thanks the D&C
Now if they implement a shooter weight limt - me and several other people will be in a world of hurt!

WBBL must apply to the Shooting Shed bipod - please use it freely - least I can offer
If I was referring to me it would WAFHAL = Wide And Fornicating Heavy And Loud :P

Or check for
errant fingers on weighing surfaces!
I loved that our first weighing attempts with a Bathroom scale (albeit digital) had weight variation of +- 1 kg in total!
Talk about chasing your tail!
Hence the Saffa red wine for John25 - so I know his hands will be fondling that!
