Always on the lookout for handy tools I came across this portable vacuum base vice. Was a bit skeptical at first about its stability etc. But it fixes quite well to most flat surfaces and is adjustable to any angle.

Just the job for your man cave or even the kitchen / lounge table (When the Wife is out of course).

I got it at local discount shop for less than a tenner, but available from lots of Internet sources, e,g, AMAZON...

I'm looking for a vice to hold my Wilson trimmer in. Any idea if it would be strong / firm enough to hold a trimmer ?

Don't think it would be suitable for a case trimmer too small. I mounted my Lyman on a block of wood and fitted a longer screw on the wheel which allows me to attach a Battery Hand Drill, makes it a lot easier. :good:

I have used one of these for a couple of years:-

Bought it at the shot show in Nuremburg.

I can't remember what I paid for it, not cheap I think but the cork rounded jaws are kind on the woodwork.

I've got a Swiss made portable vise that I picked up on Ebay a year or so back.
Made by Hobelfix, really great and it was under £20 after I'd paid courier fees...

Rolson!

That, for me, is a brand to be avoided.
