Scope recommendations for a black gun
I have a Smith & Wesson M & P 15-22 coming next week and just looking for scope recommendations for it, looking on eBay I see you can pick up copies of ACOG & AIMPOINT scopes, anyone tried these out or something else, I don't want to spend too much maybe no more than £150.
I will be using it for practical shooting and some target shooting on the 25 & 50m ranges
Thanks in advance

Hi
When you say practical shooting what is it you are actually doing , if its Mini rifle then you will need a red dot for quick target aquisition as a scope wont be suitable for that .
Otherwise look for a good brand name with a fixed low magnification which shouldnt cost a fortune , even a good second hand scope may well be a better option .

I have a kosha EoTech on one black gun and it's great I cannot fault it, and on the other I have a visionking scope the same as NWCustomparts is selling
http://www.visionking.com.cn/en/product ... 96&c_pid=1
NW Customparts £135 http://www.nwcustomparts.com/optics/home.html
Or from RSOV in Hong Kong £65 inc shipping http://www.rsov.com/product.php?langId= ... 6&cateId=0
Before anyone squeeks, I have had no problem from RSOV and when I contacted Visionking direct they assured me that there products via RSOV are genuine and are fine on centrefires as well as rim fires. Oh and the reticle is glassed etched too and its only the center circle and dot that illuminates.
Either option you will need to get some 30mm scope rings. Oh the risers from RSOV are good value too and they are ally.

Thanks for your replies guy's, guess I will need 2 scopes then, 1 for practical (mini rifle) and another for target, I was hoping their might be a do it all scope but I guess as I'm using it for different disciplines then not.

I get 1" groups with my eotech at 25yds no problem at all, never gone out to 50, and I might just push it to 100yds so will get a magnifier for it.Primer wrote:Thanks for your replies guy's, guess I will need 2 scopes then, 1 for practical (mini rifle) and another for target, I was hoping their might be a do it all scope but I guess as I'm using it for different disciplines then not.
Re: Scope recommendations for a black gun
You could try the piggyback method of mounting a scope with a red dot attached to it in a convenient position .
